How do I obtain a copy of an image?
Photographic copies can be obtained from Tower Hamlets Local Studies and Archives (there is a charge for this service) or a maximum of 5 digital copies can be emailed to you. If you would like to use the images for publication or display please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org
Stebondale Street E14 1882
Possibly 1882. Seated. Elizabeth James (later Price) born 5 June 1865 in Tunstall, Staffs. Family came to the Isle of Dogs to work in a local pottery. She married John Lawrence Price in 1883 and had eleven children. In the 1890’s they lived in Stebondale Street, a short time in Canning Town, then Oliffe Street, and back to Stebondale where at No 72 her husband ran a marine store. His son later turned it into a confectioners. Standing: Her older sister Hannah James, later Harvey. From Ada Price
