1956, The McSweeney family, a photograph taken in Dunbar House Glengall Grove, at the wedding of Charlie McSweeney. There are ‘nine stevedores in the Millwall Dock, and one good cook’ in the picture; they are Tilly, nee French, born in Essex; Jerry (1897-1980); and the sons, Harry, Owen, John, Roger, Pats, Denny, Hughie and Charlie. They had formerly lived in Gavarick Street, and old Mr McSweeney had originally come from County Cork. by O. McSweeney
