Description:

George Warren out of Stewart Stret, Isle of Dogs, and his daughter, Olive, aged 18 months to two years, at Dagenham. Mrs Warren recalls: We went into the Union Lighterage in Stewart Street that night and a bomb fell - we felt it; when we came out next morning it was a terrible sight. After we got bombed out, we went down to the hop-country till October, then to Bath, and then to my sister-in-law's at Dagenham. My husband was on the coastal defences. by G. Warren
