Mrs Louisa S. Hiscott (nee Biggs). Mrs Hiscott kept a draper's shop at No.133 Westferry Road from 1897 onwards. She had been living in Bow before that, but came from an Island family who had a dairy and milk round in East Ferry Road. She took the shop after having been left a widow at the age of 31, with three young children to bring up. Mrs Hiscott had many interests, including photography. At one time she was a leading light of the Millwall Conservative Party; she was interested in swimming clubs and other local entertainments - besides working hard to look after her shop and family. by Miss E.
