How do I obtain a copy of an image?
Photographic copies can be obtained from Tower Hamlets Local Studies and Archives (there is a charge for this service) or a maximum of 5 digital copies can be emailed to you. If you would like to use the images for publication or display please contact us at localhistory@towerhamlets.gov.uk

Description:
The Lloyd family, 7 Samuda Street, c. 1909. In the doorway: Mrs Rosina Lloyd, with her sister or a neighbour. Children: Olive Lloyd (later Foster), worked at Hooper’s marine cables). Rosina (who died at the age of six); Florrie; Ernie (worked at McDougalls); Alf (worked at Hooper’s); Fred (worked at the Graving Dock). Mrs Rosina Lloyd, Alf and Fred, and the eldest daughter, Lizzie, were killed by a bomb in the night of the 9th/10th September 1940. Mrs Olive Foster worked as a cook in the old ‘Tooke Arms’ until she was 70, and died aged 88 in 1986. by Mr Foster
