How do I obtain a copy of an image?
Loading up a horse-dray in the yard of George Clark & Son Ltd. (now Tate & Lyle), Alpha Grove, Isle of Dogs. The firm's trade mark is stamped on the side of the bins which were used to contain the converted sugar. George Clark, who started in 1837 as a grocer in Broadway, Westminster, moved into the Millwall premises 1898. The firm was taken over by Brown and Polson in 1956. Tate & Lyle bought up the company in 1964. Taken 1905. Donated by Tate & Lyle
