East Ferry Road
Mudchute Station, Docklands Light Railway, before Lewisham Extension was built. This station was built c1986 on the site of the old rope works (1881 to 1971). the new railway ran on the old viduct of Millwall Extension Railway (1876-1926) across the Park and across Manchester Road to a high level terminus at Island Gardens. When the Lewisham extension was built, Mudchute station was lowered to ground level, East Ferry Road was re-aligned and the railway ran under the river, with a new underground station for Island Gardens, located inside Millwall park. Section of the viaduct remained (2013). Donated by anon
