How do I obtain a copy of an image?
Photographic copies can be obtained from Tower Hamlets Local Studies and Archives (there is a charge for this service) or a maximum of 5 digital copies can be emailed to you. If you would like to use the images for publication or display please contact us at email@example.com
Great Yarmouth 1920s
Billy Pettit, Alf Howes, Ernie ‘Tammy’ Jarvis, his trainer Ben Jarvis and an unknown friend, all of Millwall, on holiday in Great Yarmouth in the 1920s. Tammy Jarvis was a flyweight boxer who twice challenged the world champion, once in Toronto, and once in London, losing over 10 and 15 rounds. He was a boiler maker by trade and worked at Hodges on Westferry Road.
