How do I obtain a copy of an image?
Photographic copies can be obtained from Tower Hamlets Local Studies and Archives (there is a charge for this service) or a maximum of 5 digital copies can be emailed to you. If you would like to use the images for publication or display please contact us at localhistory@towerhamlets.gov.uk

Description:
A ‘Beano’ of workers and friends from the barge builders, Babcocks of London Yard Manchester Road E14, in 1958 or 1959. The firm closed down in the late 1960s and the riverside site was scheduled for housing development; still known as London Yard, various streets etc., are named after places and people of Holland. In the photograph: Derek Walland, Terry Shaw, Fred Smith, Bill Shaw, Albert Hughes, Dennis Hook, Frank House and Harry Whittaker.
