The Reference and Information Service is there to help you find the information you need. As well as answering general reference enquiries, we provide information on a wide range of topics.

You can find the Reference & Information Service on the 3rd floor of the store, which has areas designated for quiet study and personal research.
The Reference & Information Service can help you with:
• Photocopying (copies A4 10p, A3 20p)
• Newspapers and periodicals, with long back files
• Council information including current Council minutes, agendas and reports
• Statistics - local and national - on issues such as population and employment
• Electoral registers
• Education course and careers information
• Business and company information and directories
• Official publications e.g. The Stationery Office, European Union
As well as dealing with general reference enquiries, all libraries and Idea Stores have a selection of:
• Encyclopaedias, directories and dictionaries.
• Newspapers & magazines
24 Hour Library
If you are a member of your local Tower Hamlets library or Idea Store, you can use our 24 Hour Library, for free, 24-hour access to a growing number of subscription reference resources.
