What is the right level course for me?

Choosing the correct course can be confusing.
Use the tables to help match your skills to our courses and get the best out of learning.

If you want to take a course that leads to a qualification, you may need to have qualifications already. For most qualifications you will need a qualification or skills of the level below.

National Qualification Framework Level	Typical qualifications.
Level 1	ABC Practical Language Preliminary Award [European Languages] British Sign Language - Deaf Awareness
Level 2	GCSE NVQ 2 Some City & Guilds courses ECDL BTEC First Diploma
Level 3	AS Level A2 Level Access Courses Foundation to Art and Design NVQ 3 Some City & Guilds courses BTEC National Diploma
Level 4	BA BSc Foundation Degree [part] AAT Accounts Diploma in Public Service Interpreting

If you want to take a course which does not lead to a qualification, you may need to have a certain skills level or previous experience of this area of learning
