Do I qualify for reduced fees?
If you receive certain benefits, are enrolling on certain courses or under 19 years old, we can offer a reduced cost for your course. This is called a concession. Before enrolling you will be asked to produce two items of evidence to show that you are eligible for reduced fees.
If you are Under 19
'Get Qualified' Course - free to all under 19s
'Learn for Yourself' course - free to LBTH residents under 19s only.
Proof of identity / age: Passport, birth certificate, college ID badge or driving licence.
Proof of address: Utility bill, original bank statement or driving licence.
If you are an LBTH employee
Proof of identity: LBTH Staff ID card
Other evidence: LBTH payslip
If you receive Job Seekers Allowance, Income Support or Invalidity / Disability Benefits
Proof of address: Utility bill, original bank statement or driving licence.
Other evidence: Benefit letter.
If you are an Unwaged Dependent
Proof of address: Utility bill, original bank statement or driving licence.
Other evidence: benefit letter.
If you receive Working Tax Credit
Proof of address: Benefit letter.
Other evidence: Payslip covering last 4 weeks.
If you receive Pension Guarantee Credit
Proof of address: Utility bill, original bank statement or driving licence.
Other evidence: Benefit letter.
If you are enrolling on an ESOL course
Proof of address: Utility bill, original bank statement or driving licence.
Other evidence: Passport.
If you are enrolling on a Skills for Life course
Proof of address: [2 of ] Utility bill, original bank statement or driving licence.
If you are enrolling on Family Learning course
Proof of address: [2 of ] Utility bill, original bank statement or driving licence.
