Have you always wanted to sing or play an instrument but have never had the opportunity to do so? With our music classes you can find your voice and sing whether in a jazz or Gospel class. You can try your hands at guitar, piano or even Latin American and African percussion.
Drumming
In our energising 'African Drumming Workshop' find out about basic techniques appropriate and correct use of hands, different styles in African drumming and combining basic sounds to create rhythms.
In our 'Improve your Drum Kit Skills' course improve in all aspects of playing the drum kit and get experience of playing under pressure in a musical environment – great if you would like to play professionally. Learn to play complex patterns and sight read advanced musical notation with confidence and ease.
Instrumental
In 'Get Started with Guitar Skills' we cover the basics of playing melodies, chords, reading music and playing by ear. Learn to play more complex scales and chords to improve your competence across a range of different styles and using different techniques with 'Improve Your Guitar Skills'.
Our 'Get Started Playing Piano and Keyboard' course covers basic finger skills, chords and melody through a range of exercise, pieces and songs. Learn to read music, understand and play in different rhythms, and play easy pieces on your own and with others.
Singing
Explore ways to become a more confident singer and develop your listening skills. Musically, our rhythm and counting and pitching sessions will help you improve your musical timing on the courses’ fun and accessible, soul, jazz, pop and world music genres.
