Want to develop your eye behind the camera lens? Or learn how to digitally retouch your images like a professional? Whether you are looking to create a great family album, get tips for taking photos with that new digital camera, or are considering a career in photography, we have a course for you.
From holiday snaps to advanced image capture, we offer a great range of photography classes. You can move on to specialise in portrait photography or look at composition and theory.
We are one of the few photography teaching facilities to have darkrooms and medium and large format camera teaching.
Find out all the flexibility your Digital SLR can offer, from aperture and shutter control to depth of field and other camera settings. Become familiar with the controls and settings of your digital camera in no time. Get creative with ‘Digital Image Handling in Photoshop’ and discover how to adjust colour, brightness and contrast over the whole image, crop and rotate images, and select part of an image to work with.
We are one of the few places you can still learn the art of taking and developing your own film-based photography. Discover how to set up lights creatively and safely, and how to use basic lighting techniques for different effects. Our ‘Open Studios’ offer access to studio and film development facilities and the support you need to work on your own photographic projects.
