Home Delivery Service
Do you have mobility difficulties in getting to your local Idea Store or library? Then our free home delivery service is here to meet your needs.
How do I become a member of the home delivery service?
Becoming a member of this service is easy, you can either refer yourself or you can be referred by someone else. To make a referral or for more information about the service contact the Access and Inclusion Officer on 020 7364 5091.
What will happen once a referral has been made?
Once a referral has been made the Idea Store team will arrange a home visit at a time convenient to you. This informal meeting will give you the opportunity to discuss your needs, the books you like to read and the music you like to listen to. The service you receive can then be tailor made to suit your preferences, and to help you to discover new interests. You will receive a monthly visit with new items based on your preferences.
What can I borrow?
In using our home delivery service you will have access to all of the materials that are available in the Idea Stores and libraries and more. We can provide you with books in large or small print, audio books, music on CD, audio-described videos, DVDs or jigsaws. Books and audio visual items are available in English, Bengali and other community languages. Often the number of items you can borrow from this service will be more than the number of items you can borrow from an Idea Store or library. If you are studying at home this service can support you with the appropriate materials.
