Do you want to use a computer, borrow books and CDs, read magazines, play with toys or get help with homework? Then your local Idea Store or library is the place for you.

Your local Idea Store or library has a range of services for children of all ages including:

Activities & Events

An exciting programme of  fun events and activities runs throughout the year.

Bookstart

It is never too early to introduce children to books and reading through the national Bookstart scheme.

Help with homework

Need help finding answers to your homework or a place to study? While all Idea Store and library staff will help with individual homework enquiries, why not come along to one of our Homework clubs. These drop-in sessions for children aged 8 - 16 years can be found at Bethnal Green Library, Watney Market Library, Idea Store Bow, Idea Store Chrisp Street and Idea Store Whitechapel.

Reading Scheme

Children can take part in the national Summer Reading Scheme which is extended to include children under 5 years old and teenagers up to the age of 16 years.

School Class Visits

Local schools are welcome to bring groups of children into the Idea Store or library as part of their class visits programme. Contact your local Idea Store or library for further details.
