Lilian Bowes Lyon

Lilian Bowes Lyon lived her earlier life in Ridley Hall near Riding Mill, she was a cousin of the late Queen Mother. Lilian Bowes Lyon came to live in the East End in 1942 when her poetry turned to speak about the war.
