How do I obtain a copy of an image?

Photographic copies can be obtained from Tower Hamlets Local Studies and Archives (there is a charge for this service) or a maximum of 5 digital copies can be emailed to you. If you would like to use the images for publication or display please contact us at localhistory@towerhamlets.gov.uk

The Batchelor girls, who lived at No. 150 Westferry Road opposite the Kingsbridge pub and attended British Street School. Photographed in 1904. Louise Esther (Lou) (born1902), worked in McDougalls; Francis May (born 1906), worked at Hawkins & Tipson's Rope Works; Gertrude Maud, (born 1898), worked at Levy Brothers and Knowles, the sack factory. Their father was a general labourer and a night watchman. Mother's name Francis Batchelor, (nee Lee). by Joyce Hathorn
