How do I obtain a copy of an image?

Island History Trust Image Collection


On holiday from the Dockland Settlement, Isle of Dogs, in the 1920s. Includes: Captain Kimberley (Warden), Bill Elderly, and Mr Williams (Assistant Warden). Harold William Kimberley was associated with the Dockland Settlement for more than 30 years; for three years before the photograph was taken, he had been Chief Warden of the combined Settlements, with jurisdiction in Southampton and four London Settlements. Bill Elderly was the organist at the Dockland Settlement chapel. On the second day of the Blitz he was killed in his home, when a land mine fell on Seysell Street. Donated by Ron Kettle
