William Thomas Whiffin, photographer, 1878 - 1957 William was born in Poplar and had his first studio in Kensall Rise. In 1911 he returned to Poplar and set up a business with his brother Ernest and their father at 237 East India Dock Road. His photographs appeared in many publications and continue to be appreciated in the 21st century.
