How do I obtain a copy of an image?

Photographic copies can be obtained from Tower Hamlets Local Studies and Archives (there is a charge for this service) or a maximum of 5 digital copies can be emailed to you. If you would like to use the images for publication or display please contact us at localhistory@towerhamlets.gov.uk

Glengall Road School, Class 5 in 1911. Seated in front, second from left: Alfred McCartney, (b. 1904) of No. 144 Stebondale Street (and later of No.158 East Ferry Road) On leaving school, Arthur became an apprentice boiler-maker at Fraser's works in Ferry Street. He went into general engineering after finishing his apprenticeship.
