Hellen Martin Interview

Born in Poplar, William Thomas Whiffin (1878-1957) was from a family of photographers and spent much of his life living in and photographing the East End of London in the early 20th century. This interview aimed to capture Hellen’s thoughts about her grandfather, including memories about him which she had heard from other family members who knew him well. It was recorded in the run up to the Tower Hamlets Local History Library & Archives exhibition of William Whiffin's photography, 'Whiffin's East End' (20 August-19 November 2015).
