Idea Store for Teenagers
Idea Stores and Libraries are a welcoming and safe space for teens and young adults. We are a great place to socialise, learn or volunteer.
A relaxed, inclusive hangout in the library for ages 12–18
This is your space to play games, try some crafts, relax, read, or grab a book to take home. Come with friends or make new ones — it’s totally up to you.

Books and Reading
We have a whole variety of reading matter for you to read for pleasure. At all sites we have collections of books for Teens and Young Adults that include fiction, non-fiction, graphic novels and Manga.
Visit an Idea Store or Library to access the books, or alternatively search for your favourites on our library catalogue and reserve them for free to pick up at your closest library.

Computers, Wi-Fi and Printing
All our libraries have the following:
- Free computer use and scanning.
- Free Wi-Fi.
- Printing; either from a library computer or from your own device using the Princh app.

Did you know that if you are a member of Idea Stores you have access to a great selection of eBooks, eAudio Books, and eMagazines, all for free! You just need your library card number and a few different apps, depending on what you want.

Study Support
Idea Stores are a great place to get on with your homework or private study. All our libraries have:
- library assistants on hand to help guide you to resources
- free access to computers and wifi
- free access to online help and resources, including Encyclopaedia Britannica
- a range of books in the library (we can also request books from other libraries across the borough)
- quiet study areas

Learning to Drive
Learning to drive isn’t just about being behind the wheel. Knowing the rules of the road is what elevates you to a confident driver. Theory Test Pro is a highly realistic online simulation of the UK's driving theory tests for all vehicle categories. It contains all the official test questions licensed from the DVSA, the people who set the tests.
You can now download and use the Theory Test Pro mobile app for FREE from the App Store and Google Play. Just create your account on the Idea Store Theory Test Pro sign-up page, download the app (Search for 'Theory Test Pro' on the App Store or Google Play) and just login using the same email and password created during the previous sign-up.
